Safety is a major concern in the construction industry, and we take it very seriously at Acorn. Our primary goal is to see that everyone goes home to their families each day without having an incident or personal injury - not just Acorn employees, but everyone working on or visiting the site.
To this end, our Safety Manager utilizes an ongoing process of jobsite and classroom training to make certain that every employee understands how to create and maintain a safe working environment. Additionally, we work closely with risk management consultants as needed to ensure that all worksites are completely safe.
All Acorn employees make a commitment to our Zero Accident strategy. We also partner with the Safety Management teams of our customers to support their programs. Finally, we provide site-specific safety plans for every single project, to account for the actual situations or conditions that may be encountered on that project.
Acorn Project Managers, Superintendents, and field personnel actively participate in jobsite audits, pre-task planning (Job Hazard Analysis), and incident and accident investigations if needed.
Personal Protective Equipment is issued to each and every employee to assist in helping to establish an accident-free culture.
Our wide variety of safety training includes: OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 Hour courses, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) training, and job specific training for hazards that may be limited to a single site.
